Kajal Agarwal birthday is 19 June 1985. Indian cinema actress Kajal Aggarwal mainly works in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi films. She started her career in Bollywood with a small part in “Kyun Ho-Gaya Na” in 2004 and Lakshmi-Kalyanam in 2007, which was her first Telugu film. Nominated for several South Film Awards, she has acted in blockbuster films like Magadheera (2009), Darling (2010), and Mr. Perfect (2011).

On October 30, actress Kajal Aggarwal married entrepreneur Gautam Kichlu in Mumbai. Kajal and Gautham kept their wedding ceremonies short due to the coronavirus pandemic. The star said in one of her latest Instagram pictures, “Planning a wedding entails so many moving parts and added to that the pandemic definitely was a challenge. However we strictly followed covid protocols which meant we had to have a very small wedding, got all our guests tested and created a bubble for everyone who was a part of our celebration. We are very grateful for all our loved ones that were able to attend and those who joined virtually from afar were terribly missed and we hope to see you all soon.”

Wedding ceremony

Kajal Aggarwal and Gautam Kitchlu got married on the evening of 30 October in Mumbai. The music festival was also held on the same day. Kajal took to Instagram to discuss about her wedding after the ceremony. Sharing photos from the wedding, she wrote, “And just like that, from ms to mrs! I married my confidante, companion, best friend and soulmate. So glad I found all of this and my home in you @kitchlug #kajgautkitched”.

Kajal revealed with Vogue how she planned her wedding during the coronavirus outbreak – “There was no going out physically—everything was done over WhatsApp and Zoom calls. The designers—Anita Dongre, Anamika Khanna, Varun Bahl, Falguni Shane Peacock—were so supportive. They sent me swatches at the nascent stages, shipped my outfit home for fittings, and made everything so seamless. My stylist Ami Patel helped through the process and styled my entire trousseau.”

About the venue, “We toured all of Maharashtra; checked out hotels in Alibaug, Lonavla and even vineyards at Nashik. We finally decided to book The Taj Mahal Palace, Mumbai which is close to home.”

The marriage is a mixture of two cultures. Kajal tells Vogue about her ceremony,  “My side of the family is typical Punjabi, and my husband is half-Punjabi, half-Kashmiri. We wanted to make it very special and tried to incorporate both sides of our rituals and culture.”

Early Life

Vinay and Suman Aggarwal raised Kajal Aggarwal in Mumbai. Her younger sister Nisha Aggarwal is also an artist from South and she is married to Mumbai-based businessman Karan Valecha. Kajal Aggarwal went to St. Anne’s High School in Colaba, Mumbai and Jai Hind College, Mumbai for her schooling and junior college. After graduating from KC College, Mumbai with a degree in Mass Media, she interned with L’Oreal before pursuing a career in acting.

Kajal made her acting debut in the 2004 film Kyun!…. Ho Gaya Na, but earned her big break in the Telugu film Lakshmi Kalyanam, opposite Kalyan Ram. Teja directed the film, which was a box office flop and did not receive any favorable reviews. Chandamama, directed by Krishna Vamsi and released in the same year, was a financial success and her performance was praised. Kajal Aggarwal appeared in a few Tamil films in 2008, including Pazani, Saroja and Bommalattam. The first film, Pazani, was a commercial success, while the second and third films bombed at the box office.
